New this year and growing....
Good Shepherd Christian High School
If your child could benefit from a Christian high school environment where spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and physical growth and maturity in Christ are fostered and encouraged, contact us today!
At GSCA we are taking a non-traditional, but very effective, approach to affordable Christian high school. Our 9th through 12th grade students enjoy the social aspects of attending a traditional physical school coupled with the benefits of a tailored academic education and college credits found in an online academic program. We recommend the well-established Liberty University Online Academy and Northstar Christian Academy curricula because of their Christian foundation and full accreditation. However, if students have already begun high school using a different online curriculum, they are welcome to continue their studies with us and share co-curricular activities with other like-minded students.
The online curricula offered through Liberty Online and Northstar are supported by professional teachers available at our students' fingertips and by phone ready to answer all of their academic inquiries. GSCHS students learn at a pace that is unique to their individual level, always being challenged. They also have the opportunity to earn college credits for core classes through dual enrollment with Liberty University - and qualify for a tuition discount if they later decided to attend LU for college.
The curriculum includes: Bible, Language Arts, Writing, History, Math, Science, World Languages (via Rosetta Stone), and Technology. In addition to first rate academics our students have many co-curricular activities available: Art, Phys. Ed., educational and fun field trips, service opportunities, group Bible studies, and more, are offered throughout the week. Other student-driven activities will continually be added and our high school students are encouraged to use their creativity to lead Chapel for the K-8 students among other endeavors. Additional afterschool enrichment will be offered in the form of clubs, tutoring, yearbook, sports, and other extra-curricular activities.
Our high school students have the support of a dedicated NJ certified faculty member, Ms. Nancy Dean, who provides daily assistance, scholarship research, and plans and guides field trips and service projects.
If your student is home-schooled for academics, but would like to join us for all the other great benefits a physical school can offer, that's available too!
